Possible Move?

Author: Anastasia V. Pergakis // Category:

Due to the recent issues with blogger, I'm thinking about moving this blog to my author site powered by Wordpress.

What do you guys think? If you follow this blog, would you follow it still if I moved it? All the same follow features would be there - in fact it would be pretty much the exact same blog - design, look, layout, everything..it would just be at a different address really.

I've been thinking about making this move for a long while now, but with the recent problems with blogger, I'm more set on the idea than before. But, I don't want to move if my followers think it's a waste of time or a bad idea. So please let me know what you think! (As soon as blogger allows comments again! *sigh*)

I'd still follow as long as you had the google friends follower thingy!... I'm not fussy (I must admit, blogger going all ditsy so often has got me thinking in the same way recently!)
Lx

Laura: Yes it would have the google friends follow thingy! Yea, I wonder how many other people will make the move because of all the issues.

I'll follow you! (That doesn't sound creepy at /all/, does it?)

I just got into blogging via Blogger, so the thought of learning a new place freaks me out, but the idea of losing my blog is equally scary, so I have to figure something out!

It's too bad there isn't the google friend connect on WordPress to follow blogs. I'd still follow you mostly because you're awesome.

I almost used wordpress for It's In The Book but I couldn't even get a decent template going on the site so I gave up and went with blogger for everything. I haven't had any problems lately, though I haven't been posting really either.

Okay, I just saw the comment about it having the google follow. Really? I guess all of the blogs I've seen on wordpress didn't have that. I could be wrong on that account then. *shrugs*

I just moved my blog from Blogger to WordPress last week. Though mine is through wordpress.org, not wordpress.com b/c it's powered by my webhost...wordpress is just the scripts. Anyway, so I completely understand and I'd still follow you.

TL, no that doesn't sound creepy at all! *takes a step back* LOL Just kidding. It is freaky to learn a new place but wordpress is super easy. If you do make the move though, send me an email. I'll be glad to help you if you get stuck.

Yea Dawn, the google friend connect isn't an easy widget to just click on and poof it's there. You have to go through google, "register" your site so to speak so it knows to keep track, then copy and paste the code into the side bar of your wordpress site. It works great, just gotta take the time to do is all. I discovered it by accident actually!

Awesome Ralene. Yea, I use wp.org also. So much more ability to customize and stuff. Makes me happy to have all that freedom to do what I like with my site layout and stuff. :)

I just began following you and will continue to follow you wherever you go, mwahaha!!

Seriously, I'm now considering moving over to Wordpress myself.

I hope they will fix their issues soon, or I may more seriously consider a move. There's a lot of blogs I can't comment on and my blog is loading slower than molasses for no apparent reason. Anyway, put up the URL and I'll follow.

I would follow you anywhere, Anastasia :) Blogger has been a pain just lately. I wrote a letter of complaint to them, lets hope they listen to me :)

Don't be so quick to move. I got to the bottom of blogger's issues.

They're changing up coding in order to improve the interfacing for the users.

I know this, because I was one of the lucky people who was drawn to do a test run.

Trust me on this. You DON'T want to move.

If you want to see if you got chosen to do a test run, go to draft.blogger.com

If you have been upgraded, you'll have a home page that's orange and grey.

:-)
